About Our Products

Yes—many essential oils have well-documented therapeutic effects. When inhaled, their natural compounds interact with the limbic system of the brain, helping ease stress, uplift mood, support focus, or promote relaxation. While they’re not a replacement for medical care, high-quality essential oils can be a powerful tool for emotional balance and overall well-being.
An absolute is a rich, highly aromatic extract made from delicate botanicals—like jasmine or tuberose—that can’t be steam-distilled. It’s produced using a gentle solvent process that draws out the full fragrance of the plant, resulting in a deep, true-to-nature aroma prized in fine natural perfumery.
Many customers with sensitive skin wear Ajne perfumes without issue, because they’re crafted only from pure essential oils and natural plant-derived ingredients — no synthetic fragrance chemicals, dyes, or harsh additives. That said, “natural” doesn’t guarantee “no reaction.” If you’re sensitive, we recommend doing a patch test: apply a small amount to an inner wrist or behind the ear, wait 24 hours, and check. If all is well, proceed. If redness or irritation appears, discontinue use.
Absolutely. All Ajne perfumes and diffuser aromas are 100% plant-based and vegan, and we never test on animals.
Yes — Try before you buy! We recommend trying a sample first if you’re unsure which scent you’ll like or haven’t tried a product previously. You can purchase a low-cost sample set (typically 3–4 generous 3 ml to 5 ml vials), and shipping is free. If you like it, you can apply the full cost of the sample set toward a full-size purchase.
When stored properly — in a cool, dark place away from heat and direct sunlight — Ajne’s essential-oil blends don’t spoil in a traditional sense. Instead of expiring, they age gracefully: over time the scent may deepen or evolve, but the fragrance remains safe and beautiful to use.
No refrigeration is needed. Just keep your perfumes in a cool, dark place away from heat, open flame, and direct sunlight. Natural essential oils age gracefully when stored properly, so protecting them from light and heat helps preserve their vibrancy and extend their life.
It depends on the diffuser and how often you run it. In general, the Motaroma uses about 20 ml per month, and the Scentower uses about 1 oz per month, based on typical daily use at a moderate scent level. Because our diffusers micronize the oils into ultra-fine particles—and operate on a timed burst-and-pause cycle—they’re extremely efficient. You get a strong, clean, consistent aroma while using surprisingly little oil.
Yes—our diffuser aromas work in most cold-air and ultrasonic diffusers too. They’re pure essential oils with no additives, so they’re compatible with nearly all systems that are designed for essential oils. For best performance, we recommend using them with our Motaroma or Scentower diffusers, which are optimized for pure essential oils.
Yes. Our diffuser aromas are 100% pure essential oils, so you can add them to many DIY products. Use about 10 drops per 1 oz of product for most bath, body, or cleaning formulas, and reduce to 2 drops for anything intended for babies or very sensitive skin. You can also add a few drops to the shower floor for aromatic steam, or to the toilet bowl to instantly freshen the bathroom.
Yes — when used responsibly. Because our diffuser oils are 100% pure essential oils (no synthetics or harsh chemicals), we've never received a complaint. That said, any person or pet can be sensitive to anything. It’s always best to diffuse in a well-ventilated room, use a lighter scent level, and monitor how people or animals respond. When in doubt, consult your vet or pediatrician—especially if pets or kids have respiratory issues or sensitivities.
Aromatherapy is the practice of using pure essential oils to support emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. When you inhale these natural plant essences, their aromatic molecules interact with the brain’s limbic system—the center of memory, mood, and emotion—helping calm stress, uplift your mind, or restore balance. It's a gentle, natural way to use scent for wellness.
Yes. Because our fragrances and diffuser aromas are made from pure essential oils—and many oils are known for calming, mood-uplifting, or mentally clarifying qualities—using them regularly can support stress relief, improve sleep, or enhance focus. We craft each blend with intention, combining oils that are traditionally used for relaxation, clarity, or balance. That said, essential oils are complementary: they can help support well-being but aren’t a stand-alone cure.
It depends on the size of your space. Our Motaroma diffuser is ideal for smaller areas like bedrooms, offices, bathrooms, or your car—it’s compact, portable, and perfectly suited to scent a modest room. For larger rooms, open floor plans, or commercial environments, our Scentower is the best choice. It comes in three sizes to match your needs: Mini (up to ~1,000 sq ft), Regular (up to ~2,500 sq ft), and LG (up to ~43,000 sq ft). These powerful cold-air nebulizers cover big spaces evenly and efficiently, with programmable run times for consistent, hassle-free aroma. All of our systems use pure essential oils—no water, no heat, and no mold risk—so you get clean, therapeutic scenting in any environment. And if your space is even larger or you want HVAC integration, we offer expanded models as well.
Yes. We use only pure essential oils and natural plant extracts—no synthetic fragrance oils, petrochemicals, or hidden “fragrance” chemicals. Every ingredient is derived from real botanicals; nothing artificial or lab-made ever goes into an Ajne perfume or diffuser aroma.
Perfumes are crafted for skin and blended in a carrier such as organic alcohol or organic jojoba oil so they wear comfortably and unfold with your body chemistry. Diffuser aromas are 100% pure essential oil blends with no carriers—they’re designed for clean, consistent scenting of spaces and can also be added to bath, body, and home products. Perfume is for personal wear; diffuser aromas are for ambient fragrance and air purification.
Many essential oils that we use in our diffuser blends naturally have antimicrobial, antibacterial, and antifungal properties — so they can help freshen the air and inhibit microbes. Our diffuser aromas are 100% pure essential oils with no synthetic chemicals, which helps maintain that natural cleansing potential. While we don’t promise they eliminate every germ, people often find the air in their space feels cleaner and more balanced when using Ajne diffusers.
Because smell is the only sense that connects directly to the brain’s limbic system—the center for memory, emotion, and instinct. When you breathe in a scent, its molecules travel straight to this area, bypassing the logical, thinking part of the brain. That’s why fragrance can instantly trigger a feeling, recall a moment, or shift your mood long before you’re even aware of it.
Many people who can’t tolerate synthetic fragrances do well with ours because we use only pure essential oils and plant extracts—never petrochemicals, phthalates, or artificial additives. That said, even natural botanicals can trigger sensitivities, so we always recommend a small patch test first. Apply a tiny amount to the inner wrist, wait 24 hours, and increase gradually if your skin responds well. And if you know specific ingredients you react to, we’re always happy to help you check any formula before you buy.
Most natural perfumes last about 2–6 hours, depending on your body chemistry, the specific oils in the blend, and how much you apply. Natural fragrances don’t contain synthetic fixatives, so they tend to stay closer to the skin and evolve more subtly over time. Applying to pulse points—or layering with a matching body oil or lotion—can help extend the wear.
Moisturized skin holds scent much better, so apply your fragrance after using a body lotion or body oil—ideally one that matches or complements your perfume. Spritz or dab onto pulse points, where warmth helps the aroma unfold more slowly. A light mist in the hair can also extend wear, since hair holds scent beautifully throughout the day.
When you inhale a scent, its molecules travel through the olfactory bulb and send signals directly to the limbic system—the part of the brain responsible for emotion, mood, and long-term memory. Because this pathway bypasses conscious thought, scent can trigger feelings or memories instantly and powerfully. That’s why a single aroma can calm you, energize you, or bring back a vivid moment from your past in an instant.
Yes. Natural perfumes interact with your unique body chemistry, skin type, and temperature, so each scent unfolds a little differently from person to person. You may notice certain notes (like citrus, florals, or woods) are more prominent on you than on a friend—that’s part of what makes a natural fragrance feel like a true signature scent.
Natural scents are made from real plants—pure essential oils and botanical extracts—so they’re free of petrochemicals, phthalates, and synthetic compounds that can irritate the body or disrupt hormones. They’re also biodegradable and sourced from renewable materials, which means they break down cleanly in the environment instead of contributing to pollution. Choosing natural fragrance is gentler on your skin, safer to breathe, and kinder to the Earth.
Apply to pulse points—wrists, inner elbows, neck, décolletage, and behind the ears—where warmth helps the scent unfold naturally. Let it air-dry on the skin rather than rubbing, which can dull the top notes. For a soft, lasting aura, lightly mist your hair or clothing’s inner lining (never on the exterior fabric, since natural oils have color).

The Ajne Philosophy

It means our perfumes and diffuser aromas are made entirely from pure essential oils and botanical extracts—nothing synthetic. Every scent is created from real plants distilled or extracted for their natural aroma and therapeutic properties, so you’re wearing true botanicals rather than lab-made fragrance chemicals.
Because we use rare, pure essential oils and absolutes sourced from real plants—not inexpensive synthetic fragrance chemicals. Many of these botanicals require enormous amounts of plant material to produce even a small amount of oil, and we blend them by hand in small batches for precision and purity. There are no fillers, isolates, or shortcuts in our formulas. The result is a fragrance with true botanical depth, therapeutic benefit, and artisanal quality—something mass-produced synthetic perfumes simply don’t offer.
We source rare, sustainably harvested essential oils from trusted distillers around the world, and we craft every blend by hand in small batches to maintain strict quality control. Each oil is verified through documentation, certifications, and testing—such as GC/MS analysis—to confirm purity and authenticity. We never use synthetics, fillers, or diluted materials, so every ingredient that goes into an Ajne product is exactly what the plant intended.
All Ajne fragrances are hand-blended in our private studio located in California’s Napa Valley.

Ajne is inspired by Ajna, the Sanskrit word for the third-eye chakra—the center of intuition, insight, and inner knowing. It also happens to be a playful anagram of our founder’s name, Jane, reflecting both the spiritual roots of scent and the personal artistry behind every blend.
Yes — whenever possible, we source USDA-certified organic essential oils and botanical extracts to ensure the highest purity and environmental responsibility. When an organic version isn’t available, we still use only 100% plant-derived, non-synthetic ingredients, so every Ajne product stays true to our natural standards.
Ajne creates true botanical perfumes—made only from pure essential oils, absolutes, and natural extracts—with no synthetic fragrance, petrochemicals, or fillers. Every blend is hand-crafted in small batches by our founder, a certified aromatherapist and natural perfumer, using rare, sustainably sourced ingredients. This gives each fragrance real therapeutic benefits, a softer and more personal scent experience, and a level of purity and craftsmanship you won’t find in mass-produced perfumes.
Every Ajne blend is created by our founder and master perfumer/aromatherapist, Jane Hendler, in our private studio. She hand-crafts every perfume and diffuser aroma in small batches to ensure purity, consistency, and the highest quality.
Chakras are the body’s energy centers, and different essential oils naturally resonate with each one. By blending oils that support specific chakras—like grounding roots, heart-opening florals, or clarifying herbs—we create fragrances that not only smell beautiful but also help restore balance, focus, and emotional harmony. It’s a way of using scent as both an aromatic and energetic tool.
Chakras are the body’s seven main energy centers, running from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. Each chakra corresponds to different physical, emotional, and spiritual qualities—like grounding, creativity, confidence, love, intuition, or clarity. When these centers are balanced, energy flows more freely, supporting overall well-being.
Greenwashing is when a company uses words like “natural,” “clean,” or “eco-friendly” to appear environmentally responsible while still using synthetic, harmful, or misleading ingredients. It relies on vague labels, half-truths, or marketing language instead of full transparency. A truly natural brand lists every ingredient clearly—no hidden fragrance chemicals, no vague terms, and no guessing.
Yes. Look for full ingredient transparency—true naturals list Latin botanical names instead of vague terms like “fragrance” or “parfum.” Color is another clue: essential oils always have some tint, even if very light, so there are no naturally clear, bright pink, or light blue perfumes. If a brand doesn’t disclose ingredients or the liquid looks unnaturally colorless or colored, it’s likely synthetic.
Not since COVID—Ajne currently sells exclusively through its online store and a select group of luxury retailers worldwide. Be sure to take advantage of our risk free sampling and free shipping over $79.

Commonly Used Terms

An essential oil is a highly concentrated aromatic extract distilled or pressed from a plant—such as its flowers, leaves, roots, woods, or resins. It captures the plant’s pure scent and therapeutic properties in a potent, natural form, with no synthetic additives.
Most essential oils are made through steam distillation, where heated steam passes through plant material, lifts the aromatic molecules, and then condenses into pure essential oil. Citrus oils are usually cold-pressed from the rind, and some delicate botanicals are captured using CO₂ extraction, which uses pressurized carbon dioxide to pull out the aroma without heat. Each method preserves the plant’s natural scent and therapeutic properties in a different way.
CO₂ extract is an essential-oil–like aromatic concentrate made using pressurized carbon dioxide instead of heat or traditional solvents. When the pressure is released, the CO₂ turns back into a gas, leaving behind a pure, highly aromatic extract that captures the plant’s full scent profile—often richer and more complete than steam-distilled oils.
Denatured alcohol is pure alcohol with a tiny amount of a natural bittering agent added to make it undrinkable. At Ajne, we use organic denatured alcohol made from plants like grain, sugarcane or corn. It’s gentle on the skin, evaporates cleanly, and allows the fragrance to open beautifully—without any synthetic additives or harsh chemicals.
A carrier oil is the base used to dilute pure essential oils so they can be applied safely to the skin. At Ajne, we use organic jojoba oil, which closely resembles the skin’s natural oils and absorbs beautifully without clogging pores. Carrier oils help essential oils spread evenly, soften the skin, and allow the fragrance to unfold gently over time.
We use only two carriers: organic denatured alcohol for our spray perfumes and organic jojoba oil for our roll-ons. Both are plant-based, gentle on the skin, and chosen because they allow the essential oils to open, evolve, and wear beautifully—without any synthetic additives, preservatives, or fillers.
No. Our perfumes contain only essential oils in organic jojoba or organic alcohol, and our diffuser aromas are 100% pure essential oil blends. We never use synthetic colors, stabilizers, preservatives, or fillers—every drop comes directly from real plants, just as nature made them.
Synthetic scents are made from lab-created aroma chemicals—often derived from petroleum, coal tar, or other industrial compounds. These formulas can contain hundreds of artificial molecules, plus additives like stabilizers, fixatives, and often phthalates, which help the scent last longer but are linked to hormone disruption and sensitivities. Unlike natural fragrances, synthetic scents contain no true plant oils or botanical extracts.
Many synthetic fragrances are made from petroleum-based chemicals that don’t biodegrade. When they’re washed off the skin or released into the air, they can linger in waterways, soil, and marine environments, disrupting ecosystems. Their production also relies on nonrenewable resources and emits volatile compounds that contribute to air pollution. Natural essential oils, by contrast, break down cleanly and return to the environment without leaving a toxic footprint.
Many synthetic fragrances contain petrochemicals, phthalates, and other artificial compounds that can irritate the skin, trigger allergies, or disrupt hormones. Because companies can hide hundreds of chemicals under the single word “fragrance,” it’s hard to know what you’re being exposed to. Some of these ingredients have been linked to headaches, respiratory issues, and endocrine disruption—especially with repeated use.
A nature-identical essential oil is a lab-created copy of one or more scent molecules found in a real essential oil. Chemists reconstruct these molecules—often from cheaper plant sources or petrochemicals—to mimic part of a natural aroma. While they may smell similar, they don’t contain the full spectrum of compounds found in true essential oils and aren’t considered therapeutic. Ajne does not use nature-identical oils in any formula.
A natural isolate is a single aroma compound that has been separated out from a plant using modern extraction techniques. For example, geraniol—one of the many molecules found in rose—can be isolated from cheaper plants like palmarosa or citronella. Although the molecule is “natural,” it represents only a tiny fraction of the full plant profile and can be more irritating than whole essential oils. Ajne does not use natural isolates in any of our perfumes or diffuser aromas.
